Inflation in Azerbaijan is expected to make up 4.5 percent this year, ‘Asian Development Outlook 2021’ report of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) said, Trend reports.
As reported, this indicator exceeds the level, forecasted by the bank in April this year, by one percent.
According to the document, in 2022 the inflation rate in the country will vary within three percent, which is the same as the April report’s forecast.
In 2020, inflation in Azerbaijan amounted to 2.8 percent.
Earlier, the State Statistical Committee reported that the average annual inflation in Azerbaijan from January through 2021 grew by 4.8 percent over the same period of last year. At the same time, in its latest statement (dated September 17) the Central Bank of Azerbaijan noted that the annual inflation in Azerbaijan this year is expected at the level of 7-7.5 percent.
