Uzbek Uzmetkombinat signed two agreements, as part of a project to issue corporate bonds, at Uzbekistan Economic Forum 2021 currently being held in Tashkent, Trend reports citing Uzbek media.
The first was an agreement with the Russian investment company Freedom Finance for the provision of underwriting services.
Freedom Finance will receive the authority to organize the issue and placement of corporate bonds of the plant.
It is planned to sell debt securities worth $4.6 million with a coupon rate of up to 23 percent.
The second is an agreement with the consulting company Ernst and Young on the provision of advices to Uzmetkombinat on the investment program.
Uzmetkombinat issues bonds for the implementation of investment projects, creation of a credit history in the capital market and diversification of funding sources. The company is ready to pay a commission of 3 percent of the total volume of placed bonds ($140,291) for underwriter services.
