Iran declares amount of loans issued for housing, construction sector

Banks in Iran issued loans worth 1.06 quadrillion rials (about $25.2 billion) in the housing and construction sector, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through December 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to statistics, about 236 trillion rials (about $5.61 billion) worth of loans were issued for construction work in the housing and construction sector within 9 months.

In addition, Iranian banks issued loans worth 349 trillion rials (about $8.3 billion) as working capital in this sector.

Over the reporting period, 183 trillion rials (about $4.37 billion) worth of loans were issued for repair work and 62.9 trillion rials (about $1.5 billion) for development work in the housing and construction sector.

Furthermore, Iranian banks issued loans worth 115 billion rials (about $2.73 million) for the purchase of personal assets in the housing and construction sector, 213 trillion rials (about $5.06 billion) for the purchase of housing, and 15.7 trillion rials (about $375 million) for other purposes.

The Iranian banks issued loans worth about 20.2 quadrillion rials (about $481 billion) in various economic sectors in the first nine months of the current Iranian year. The figure stood at 7.56 quadrillion rials (about $180 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.
