The number of registered cars in Kazakhstan amounted to 92,589 vehicles over the period from January 2022, which is 16.5 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
As of February 1, 2022, the total number of passenger cars registered in Kazakhstan amounted to 3.7 million.
The committee noted that 85.1 percent of registered cars work on gasoline. Some 12.6 percent of the cars operate on mixed fuel, 2.2 percent on diesel fuel, and 0.1 percent on LPG.
The number of registered car accidents amounted to 843 cases, which is 1 percent more than during the same period of 2021. Some 1,310 people were injured in these accidents.
As of February 1, 2022, insurance companies made 5,968 payments worth 2.8 billion tenge (approximately $5.4 million) on Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance of Vehicle Owners.
