BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. Total liabilities of Azerbaijan’s TuranBank increased from January through March 2022, Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

According to the balance sheet, this figure amounted to over 663.2 million manat ($390.1 million), up by nearly 146.2 million manat ($86 million) or 28.28 percent on annual basis.

A significant share (65.17 percent) in the structure of liabilities accounted for deposits, which grew by 38.93 percent over the year - up to 432.2 million manat ($254.2 million). At the same time, the share of deposits of legal entities in the mentioned structure equaled 36.01 percent. Deposits of legal entities grew by 56.46 percent over the year and amounted to 155.6 million manat ($91.5 million).

The share of deposits of individuals in the structure of liabilities of TuranBank amounted to 63.99 percent. These deposits increased by 29.16 percent over the year - up to 95.1 million manat ($55.9 million).

The bank's liabilities to credit organizations and other financial institutions rose by 30.69 percent over the year and reached 276.5 million manat ($162.6 million).

The requirements of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) grew by 16.82 percent and amounted to 110.2 million manat ($64.8 million), and other liabilities of TuranBank increased by 81.35 percent to 6.3 million manat ($3.7 million).

The share capital of TuranBank amounted to 80 million manat ($47 million) in the first quarter of 2022, up by 6.67 percent over the year.

Meanwhile, retained earnings of the bank amounted to 321,000 manat ($188,820), which is 125.56 percent more than in 1Q2021. The bank’s capital reserves equaled 7.2 million manat ($4.2 million), thus having grown by 18.33 percent over the year.

The total capital of the bank in 1Q2022 amounted to 88.3 million manat ($51.9 million), up by 9.56 percent on annual basis.
