BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. The Bank Melli Iran issued loans worth over 21.5 trillion rials (about $512 million) in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Trend reports citing the bank’s official website.
According to the report, the loans were provided to families facing financial problems as a result of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as the people who lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic, and owners of industrial enterprises.
A total of 45,200 people were able to receive the bank's loans.
The coronavirus-related loans were provided mainly online and met most of the needs of the population.
