BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 14. The liquidity in Iran increased by 38.3 percent at end of the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (May 21, 2022), compared to the end of the same month of the last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, the liquidity in Iran amounted to 49.4 quadrillion rials (about $1.18 trillion) at the end of the 2nd month.

"Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, this figure stood at 36 quadrillion rials (about $857 billion)," the statistics said.

Furthermore, the share of money in liquidity was 10 quadrillion rials (about $226 billion) at the end of the 2nd month. This is an increase of 45.4 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, the share of money in liquidity amounted to 6.94 quadrillion rials (about $165 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.

According to the statistics, the share of near-money in liquidity was 39.3 quadrillion rials (about $937 billion) within the mentioned period. This is an increase of 35.3 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

So, the share of near-money in liquidity amounted to 29 quadrillion rials (about $692 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.
