BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. Foreigners spent 155.5 million manat ($91.3 million) on credit cards in Azerbaijan in September 2022, which was 25.1 percent or 31.2 million manat ($18.3 million) more than in the same month of 2021, Trend reports citing the country's Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
Foreign bank card transactions made in Azerbaijan amounted to 1.7 billion manat ($998.56 million) from January through September 2022.
In August 2022, foreign citizens' expenses through credit cards totaled 214.6 million manat ($126.05 million) in Azerbaijan, up by 2.03 times or 109.3 million manat ($64.2 million) against the same month last year.
