BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. Iran's foreign debts have decreased by 29 percent at the end of the 8th month of the current Iranian year (November 21, 2022), compared same period last Iranian year (November 21, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).
Iran's foreign debts amounted to approximately $6.43 billion at the end of the 8th month of the current Iranian year, while in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at $9.07 billion.
According to the statistics, Iran's short-term debts stand at about $1.75 billion, while the long-term - at about $4.68 billion.
In euros, Iran's foreign debt amounted to approximately 6.23 billion euros at the end of the 8th month. Of this, 1.7 billion euros are short-term debts, while 4.53 billion euros are long-term debts.
At the end of the last Iranian year (March 20, 2022), Iran’s foreign debts amounted to $8.67 billion. It means the country’s debts decreased by more than $2 billion compared to the end of 8th month.
