BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 30. According to Trend’s ranking, the share of the authorized capital of the three banks (the International Bank of Azerbaijan, Kapital Bank and PASHA Bank) compiled about half of the total authorized capital of the entire banking sector.
The share of the International Bank of Azerbaijan, which took the first place in terms of authorized capital among Azerbaijani banks, accounted for 27.32 percent, followed by Kapital Bank with a share of 16.05 percent and PASHA Bank with a share of 13.46 percent.
Overall, the capital of the first three banks equaled 3.2 billion manat ($1.8 billion), or 71.82 percent of the total capital of 10 banks of Azerbaijan (4.5 billion manat or $2.6 billion), or 56.83 percent of the total capital of all banks of Azerbaijan (5.7 billion manat or $3.3 billion).
The total volume of the authorized capital of the first 10 banks accounted for 79.13 percent of the total authorized capital of all banks in Azerbaijan.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the net profit of the banking sector as of March 31, 2023 in Azerbaijan increased by 94 million manat ($55.2 million), or 54.05 percent compared to the same period in 2022 growing from 173.9 million manat ($102.2 million) to 267.9 million manat ($157.5 million).
