BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 27. For the first time, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) disclosed data on economic entities' business portfolios, Trend reports.
According to the CBA, the portfolio of bank business loans climbed by 479.7 million manat ($282.18 million) to 11.65 million manat ($6.85 million) in June 2023.
Furthermore, large enterprises received 45.6 percent of business loans, or 5.3 billion manat ($3.1 billion), medium-sized enterprises received 21.1 percent, or more than 2.45 billion manat ($1.4 billion), small enterprises received 15 percent, or 1.75 billion manat ($1.03 billion), and micro-enterprises received 18.3 percent, or about 2.1 billion manat ($1.2 billion).
As much as 33.3 percent, or 3.8 billion manat ($2.2 billion), of the company loans fell on small and medium-sized enterprises' bank debts.
The loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks in the first half of the year grew by 3.1 percent, or 637 million manat ($374.7 million), up to 21.29 billion manat ($12.5 billion).
The total liabilities of the country's banks amounted to more than 39.3 billion manat ($23.1 billion), and the balance capital was about 5.9 billion manat ($3.4 billion).
