]BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3. Banks in Iran issued loans worth approximately 433 trillion rials (about $10.3 billion) in the housing and construction sectors during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), Trend reports.
As indicated in the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), 199 trillion rials (about $4.74 billion) were issued for construction work in the housing and construction sectors within 3 months.
Also, Iranian banks issued loans worth 208 trillion rials (about $4.95 billion) as working capital in this sector for the reporting month.
Over 3 months, about 17 trillion rials (about $404 million) worth of loans were issued for development work in the housing and construction sectors, as well as 185 billion rials ($4.4 million) for self-employment.
Furthermore, Iranian banks issued loans worth 8.4 trillion rials (about $200 million) for the purchase of housing in the housing and construction sectors, 88 billion rials (about $2.09 million) for the purchase of personal assets, and 350 billion rials (about $8.33 million) for repair work.
In total, the Iranian banks issued loans worth approximately 7.85 quadrillion rials (about $187 billion) in various economic sectors within the first 3 months of the current Iranian year.
