ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 21. The total volume of non-cash payments via terminals from January through July 2023 amounted to 9.05 billion Turkmen manat ($2.58 billion) in Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, during the specified period, these figures are 28 percent more than similar figures for the first 7 months of last year (7.07 billion Turkmen manats or $2.02 billion).
The total amount of non-cash payments through ATMs amounted to 207.92 million Turkmen manat ($59.34 million), which is 17 percent more than in the first seven months of 2022 (177.7 million Turkmen manats or $50.72 million).
Meanwhile, the total volume of non-cash payments through terminals in Turkmenistan in 2022 amounted to 13.8 billion Turkmen manat ($3.93 billion), which is 27.6 percent more than in 2021 (10.81 billion Turkmen manat or $3.08 billion).

Specifically, mobile apps are being introduced for the payment of diverse services and products, the volume of electronic transactions is on the rise, and the settlement for merchandise and services is being facilitated via banking terminals.
