ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 18. Turkmenistan's Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank will launch 'Remote Banking', an electronic payment system for private customers, Trend reports.
An official source claims that Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the
president of Turkmenistan, adopted the pertinent motion at a normal
meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The purpose of this new financial service is to guarantee the
effectiveness of payment transactions for the nation's residents
and to broaden the range of non-cash payments.
The head of state stated that all areas of the nation's economy
are currently implementing a digital system on a large scale; the
scope of digital services is growing, as is the number of
electronic payments provided by the banking industry.
Berdimuhamedov gave Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, the Deputy Chairman of
the Turkmenistan Government, instructions to complete the required
work in order to implement the relevant proposal.
The plan was made public as part of the execution of the "State
Program on Development of the Digital Economy of Turkmenistan for
2021-2025" and the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for
the Socio-economic Development of the Country for 2019-2025."
