BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 1. As of March 29, 2024, Azerbaijan's monetary base was 20.39 billion manat ($11.99 billion), which is 15.31 percent, or 2.88 billion manat ($1.69 billion), higher than the figure for the same period in 2023, Trend reports.
According to figures from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the monetary base (it includes cash, free banking, and commercial banks' needed reserves in circulation) exceeded 17.68 billion manats ($10.4 billion) in the reporting period last year.
The monetary base indicator is 1.31 percent, or 264.6 million manat ($155.6 million), which exceeds the value for February 29, 2024.
