BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11. The Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan hosted a round table on the transition to green energy, featuring Deputy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov, Azerbaijani experts, and representatives from the UK's Energy Security Administration and Net Zero, Trend reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Energy.
"During the round table, UK representatives were briefed on the current state of renewable energy sources, decarbonization efforts, energy efficiency, power grid enhancements, and ongoing projects in Azerbaijan. Discussions also covered Azerbaijan-UK cooperation in the renewables sector, particularly in the production of 'green' hydrogen," the ministry stated.
The event saw participation from employees of the Ministry of Energy, the State Agency for Renewable Energy, the Energy Regulatory Agency, as well as representatives from Azerenerji, Azerishig, SOCAR, and bp.
