BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11. As of right now, Azerbaijan is home to 4,047 electric automobiles, the Deputy Chairman of Azerishig OJSC Ramil Yusifov said, Trend reports.
He made the remark during a meeting on the fulfillment of the "Roadmap on stimulating the use of environmentally friendly and safe vehicles and improving infrastructure for 2024" in the first half of the year
He pointed out that this number is on the rise, hand in hand with demand.
"With the wheels of interest rolling towards cars with electric motors, the demand for batteries will rev up," he said.
Re-established in 2015, Azerishig OJSC acquires power from within Azerbaijan. It provides consumers with electricity in a dependable, safe, and effective manner; it also introduces new technologies in this field, upgrades a material-technical base, guarantees its efficient use, and carries out other activities with the goal of developing this area.
