OCZ Goes Hardcore Rugged with ATV Flash Drives

ICT Materials 13 September 2007 14:44 (UTC +04:00)

( Mobile ) - One of the spectrum is occupied by trendy-looking devices coated in glossy white and chrome. On the other end of the spectrum are ultra rugged devices that get wrapped up in protective rubber, withstanding the absolute worst punishment out there. OCZ is clearly attacking the latter category here.

The newly revealed OCZ ATV and ATV Turbo flash drives are built to survive the worst of beatings, the worst that Mother Nature can issue, and yes, even the worst that you kid brother can dish out. Both drives have been encapsulated in durable rubber tread housing. It's also notable that there's a little plastic piece that hangs off the end where you can place the cap.

Read and write speeds have been rated at 35MB/s and 30MB/s, respectively. The OCZ ATV and ATV Turbo flash drives will be available in 2GB, 4GB, and 8GB flavors.
