Representatives of Azerbaijani Transport Ministry partaking at post workshop in Turkey

Specialists of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry are participating in a workshop on "Maximizing rationality in the technological sphere and measures implemented in the postal sector in relation to the global economic crisis," which is taking place in Anatolia on June 10-12.

The workshop gathered Turkey, Algeria, Bosnia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Pakistan, Macedonia, France and other European countries.

The agenda includes issues on improving the rationality of the use of ICT in all spheres, including in the postal sector, reducing costs on the background of global economic crisis, the impact of the crisis in the worldwide postal sector, as well as activities carried out in order to reduce the negative impact crisis in the postal sector.

The Azerbaijani delegate delivered a report, which was provided with information on the public postal operators Azerpocht to provide postal and financial services, automation of jobs, as well as the organization of banking services on the fist day of the event, the IT Ministry said.

During the workshop, representatives of Azerbaijani Ministry will become familiar with the experience of the Turkish Postal Administration in connection with the use of marking machines at post offices in the adoption of written correspondence.
