Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept. 21 / Trend , H.Valiyev/
By late 2009, the Azerbaijani state internet provider BakinterNet will increase the capacity of the ports of equipment to connect to the Internet to 45,000 units, said the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
The ministry reported now assembling capacity of the provider's equipment (ADSL, ASAM and HONET), established in the PBX network in Baku, has been brought up to 15,500 ports, of which about 9,000 units are in operation.
Increase in the assembling capacity is directly related to the increase in the number of broadband users.
Today, bandwidth of BakinterNet is 465 Mbit /s, of which only 337 Mbps are used at peak hours.
