About 17,000 subscribers of CDMA standard have been registered in Aztelecom PU of the Ministry of Communication and IT, Aztelecom PU told Trend .
Number of subscribers increased up to 1,300 subscribers over the last three months.
CDMA allows simplifying people's access to the Internet in distant areas where the cost of cable construction is unreasonably high. CDMA is an alternative to broadband DSL.
Aztelecom expanded the wireless CDMA network in the village of Guzanly in Agdam region over the last two months. It also covered settlements of Barda region.
At present, the CDMA network also covers the territory of the Absheron peninsula, Shamakhi, Ganja, Lankaran, Astara, Guba, Khachmaz, Masalli, Shamkir, Imishli, Mingachevir, Sheki, Kurdamir, Gakh, Balaken, Sabirabad, Agdam, Fizuli, Beylagan, Agdash, Agsu Jalilabad, Yevlakh and Goychay.
