The Azerfon - Vodafone Center was ceremonially opened in Nakchivan, Azerbaijan.

The Nakhichivan Autonomous Republic's Ministry of Communications, Azerfon employees, the public of the city participated in the Center's opening ceremony.

Addressing the ceremony Azerfon -Vodafone Head Leyla Nasrullayeva spoke about importance of introducing the 3G technology in Nakhchivan and opportunities this technology offers.

"Azerfon -Vodafone users will be the first subscribers, taking advantage of useful services of the 3G technology, including high-speed data transfer, more qualitative voice transfer, video call, as well as expanded area of the network coverage," Nasrullayeva noted.

The Center in Nakhchivan is the second Azerfon-Vodafone Center opened in the regions. Two centers already operate in Baku. Centers opened in Nakhchivan and Ganja are ready to provide qualitative service to all desiring to use the 3G technology.

Initially, these services will be offered in large cities such as Baku, Sumgayit, Ganja, Shirvan, Nakhichivan, Mingachevir, Sheki, Tovuz, Shamkir, Absheron peninsula and soon they will be deployed in other cities.

The services offered under the Azerfon-Vodafone brand will receive the prefix "077." Azerfon-Vodafone subscribers will receive access to 3G services and new products and be able to choose special mobile phone numbers in the new Azerfon-Vodafone Centre.
