Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences develops security system of information exchange between Interior bodies

The Institute of Information Technologies (IIT) under the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences has developed a system of secure information exchange between the internal bodies of the republic, head of IIT structural unit Yadigar Imamverdiyev told Trend .

The new system will be used to authenticate the benefits of electronic keys. This gives an opportunity to reveal the reliability of sent information and received one between departments, as well as safety and security of confidential information, he said.

"Presently, the system presented to the Police Academy of the Interior Ministry. Usage of benefits of information technologies will further simplify the operational search activity and provide new electronic services to the public by creating a process of electronic government," Imamverdiyev said.

The most actual problems in information security are cyber terrorism, cyber - crime, cyber - spying and threats directed at critical infrastructure, he said.

The department on combat cyber - crime, which operates under the Interior Ministry is charged with protection from unwanted incidents in cyberspace.
