KUR PC production factory: Investments in installation of Internet kiosks in Baku can be repaid in short term

Investment of companies in deploying Internet kiosks, depending on their location, can be repaid within three to eight months, KUR computer equipment production factory said.

Investment of companies in deploying Internet kiosks, depending on their location, can be repaid  within three to eight months, KUR computer equipment production factory said.

At present, KUR prepared initial batch of Internet kiosks to be installed in public places in Baku.

Economically viable places for installation of these devices are educational institutions, business centers, waiting rooms and airport terminals and bus stops. Terminals can bring additional profit at the expense of advertising placed on them.

"Internet kiosks will operate as independent operators and the relevant legislation is pending. "The Cabinet of Ministers is considering the Internet kiosk installation issue. After the respective regulations are made, these kiosks will appear in public areas," OOO KUR director Rizvan Osmanov told Trend.

Today, Internet kiosks are used by public and private enterprises. Stand-alone device are connected to a high-speed Internet technology WiMAX at a speed of 1 Mbps.

The devices are equipped with printers allowing users to print information found by using the terminal. Internet kiosks are equipped with devices receiving coins of par value 0,05, 0,1, 0,2 and 0,5 manat.

Convenience of the Internet kiosk is provided by Internet browser, which is the link between the user and the Internet. Entering data into a terminal is conducted by using the keyboard.
