Azerbaijan is ranked the fifth for the number of users of the Mail.Ru portal among the former Soviet Union countries, Mail.Ru Portal Vice-President Alexei Katkov said.
Over 500,000 users from Azerbaijan visit the Mail.Ru portal every week, Katkov said.
"Company Mail.Ru has serious plans on access to the CIS countries. The company has already created localized versions of various projects, such as [email protected], [email protected] [email protected], [email protected] and etc. for some of them. We are interested in the Azerbaijani internet market, and we intend to develop special versions of our services for Azerbaijan in the future," Katkov said.
Recently Mail.Ru introduced special versions of the project [email protected] for Kazakhstan and Belarus.
The [email protected] project forms a picture on the basis of the enormous amount of information coming simultaneously from different sources (TV, radio, newspapers, news agencies, etc.). These are Kazinform ,Kazakhstan Today , RIA Novosti Kazakhstan for Kazakhstan and BELTA , BelaPAN ,Diary "," Goals.by ", etc for Belarus.
Managers of all versions of the [email protected] project check information flow in real-time for the presence of duplicates and select the most detailed material on a particular topic, etc.
