Azerbaijan, Baku, March 14 /Trend/

The Syrian National Agency for Network Services (NANS) on Sunday launched the registration service on Syrian Arab top level domain (.Syria) so that establishments, companies and individuals could get Arabic titles for their websites, SANA reported.

NANS Director-General Maher Suleiman said in a statement to SANA that registration will be done directly according to specific terms and rules which are published on NANS website.

The registration process includes two stages; the first one starts on March 15th and ends on June 15th at 23h: 59.

Suleiman pointed out that registration applications will be accepted primarily, as the registered domain names will be operated directly and for free during this stage which will be considered a test period during which applicants do not have the right to get the domain until the end of the stage, explaining that the aim of doing that is to resolve any disputes which might arise regarding the names of the domains.

He added "The confirmation of the domain parking comes after resolving disputes at the end of this stage and the date of reservation is considered the date of confirmation from which applicants are to be given a month for paying the reservation fees."

This stage will be followed by the general registration period which will continue until further notice and will be open for everybody.
