International Internet World Usage Statistics, Internet World Stats, published another report on the number of Internet users.
According to the new report made by Internet World Stats (IWS), there are 3.689 million people using the Internet in Azerbaijan.
In the first six months of 2011, according to IWS estimates, the country has a 44.1 percent Internet access rate.
In a 2010 report of the Internet World Stats, the number of Internet users in Azerbaijan was above 3.69 million people (44.4 percent access rate) and 1.48 million users in 2009.
There are more Internet users in Azerbaijan than in Armenia, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, or Turkmenistan.
Kazakhstan, with 5.3 million people using the Internet, ranks first among the South Caucasus and Central Asian countries, the IWS report indicated.
According to the report, Asian countries account for 44 percent of all Internet users worldwide.
