The process of issuing the Azerbaijani digital signature to citizens of foreign countries will begin in the near future, Manager of Azerbaijan’s Digital Trade Hub Nijat Asadli told Trend Oct. 19.

“The process of issuing digital signatures will be carried out through the embassies and consulates of Azerbaijan abroad. We have accelerated the process of integration with the relevant state authorities,” said Asadli.

He noted that this step will allow foreign entrepreneurs to conduct business in Azerbaijan remotely.

“Once foreign citizens receive the digital signature of Azerbaijan, they can remotely open a company in the country, hire and dismiss the employees, make payments, in other words, conduct any entrepreneurial activity without being physically in Azerbaijan. I think that this step will increase investments in the country,” said the manager of Azerbaijan’s Digital Trade Hub.

According to Asadli, the Digital Trade Hub will be introduced sequentially.

Currently, entrepreneurs can already fill in customs declarations through the Digital Trade Hub.

The Digital Trade Hub enables non-residents in Azerbaijan after receiving electronic signatures and ASAN Signature to carry out operations to open LLCs, bank accounts, hire employees, carry out export-import operations. The Digital Trade Hub also provides an opportunity to create an electronic wallet.
