Baku, Azerbaijan, Feb. 24
By Huseyn Valiyev – Trend:
Azerbaijan’s e-government portal (e-gov.az) will be renewed, a source close to the project told Trend.
The renewal assumes improvement of the platform, structure and other parts of the portal, as well as the general design.
The e-Gov portal is a key tool supporting work with individuals, state and private enterprises. It is designed to reduce a number of documents required from individuals making state agencies communicate with each other electronically. The e-Gov portal is currently able to issue 18 reference documents.
The portal can be accessed by individual entrepreneurs and citizens using ID information, verification credentials (login/password), which can be acquired electronically after registration on portal, and mobile authentication system.
“Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies recently approved a new design for the Data Processing Center’s web-site (rabita.az). Web-site of the Open Government initiative (data.gov.az) has also been updated,” the source said.
