Baku, Azerbaijan, May 22
By Huseyn Valiyev - Trend:
The work on optimization of the cable and sewerage facilities (CSF) of Baku Telephone Communication LLC Company is planned to be completed by the end of the year, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan told Trend May 22.
Optimization involves decommissioning of cable lines that do not meet the needed requirements.
As a result of the audit carried out by the operator earlier, it was revealed that the installation of the CSFs does not meet the requirements, and they are overloaded, and therefore work on laying new cable lines in sewage facilities has been suspended.
"The modern infrastructure of the CSFs, along with ensuring productive and efficient operation, will reduce investment costs and provide quality services. Private providers, using the new CSF infrastructure, will be able to get Ethernet and optical ports to deploy their services in any direction and at any point.
"Baku Telephone" LLC Company cooperates with those private providers who comply with the rules and established technical standards for the operation of the CSFs. To the extent possible, the necessary conditions are created for providers so that they could use the CSF infrastructure. On top of the cable infrastructure, they receive ports under standard conditions and established tariffs," the ministry said.
