A commercial package of digital TV is expected to be launched in the Sheki district of Azerbaijan, a source in the country's telecommunications market told Trend on Friday.
The launch date of the service is not yet defined.
For the expansion of commercial TV package in Sheki, the necessary frequencies were obtained.
Currently, a commercial digital TV package is available in Ganja, Lankaran and Guba districts, as well as nearby settlements. In Baku, the commercial package is promoted under the ATV Plus brand.
The commercial package includes about 100 TV channels. A monthly fee for viewing the commercial package in the districts of Azerbaijan is 6 manats, in Baku - 10 manats.
A digital TV receiver or a CAM module are needed to view the commercial package.
