In March 2019, the activity of Facebook users in Azerbaijan increased by 2.81 percentage points compared with the previous month, reaching 39.17 percent, Trend reports referring to the Global Stats statistical center.
The share of Facebook in Azerbaijan returned to growth after a 4-month reduction. Thus, this figure stood at 51.54 percent in November of last year, at 45.46 percent in December, 39.28 percent in January of this year, and 36.36 percent in February.
Facebook continues to rank first in popularity among social media networks in Azerbaijan.
Pinterest managed to become the 2nd - an increase of 3.17 percentage points over the month and a share of 19.43 percent.
Despite a growth of 1.37 percentage points, YouTube, with a share of 18.08 percent, shifted to 3-rd position. The share of YouTube in Azerbaijan has declined throughout the past year. As such, if the share of this social network in Azerbaijan was 34.37 percent in January last year, it had already reached 18.35 percent by January 2019.
Next came Twitter, with 7.25 percent (a decrease of 14.44 percent). Other social networks accounted for 16.07 percent, including Instagram at 10.76 percent (5.72 percent in February), and VKontakte (VK) at 1.8 percent (1.27 percent).
