Number of registered IT companies grows in Turkey

In June 2019, 47 companies in the IT sector were registered in Turkey, which is 7.46 percent more compared to the same month of 2018, Trend reports referring to Turkey's Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).
Some 40 construction companies were registered in Turkey in June 2019, which is 6.35 percent more compared to June 2018.
“In June 2019, 20 consulting services companies were also registered in Turkey, which is 3.17 percent more compared to the same month of 2018,” said the report.
Nine hotels (an increase of 1.43 percent) and 14 energy companies (an increase of 2.22 percent) were registered in Turkey in June 2019 compared to June 2018.
The biggest number of closed companies in Turkey accounted for the energy sector in June 2019.
According to the report, 225 energy companies closed in Turkey, which is 19.10 percent more than in June 2018. Some 107 construction companies also closed in Turkey in June 2019, which is 9.08 percent more than in June 2018.
In June 2019, five branches of banks opened and 21 branches of banks closed in Turkey. “In general, 41 bank branches opened and 134 branches closed in Turkey in January-June 2019,” the report said.
