The first online video conferencing system has been successfully tested in Azerbaijan, scientific and technical advisor of the system, director of High Technologies Park LLC of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, Academician Ali Abbasov said, Trend reports.
“The system is the development of Emsys company, resident of the High Technologies Park LLC of the National Academy of Sciences,” Abbasov said. “It has successfully passed the tests and is ready for commissioning.”
“A video conference was held as a test with the participation of representatives of High Technologies Park LLC of the National Academy of Sciences and Emsys company through this program, as a result of which the quality of the program was highly appreciated by the specialists of the High Technologies Park,” director added.
During the situations like the spread of COVID-19, the system opens up broad prospects for more flexible and efficient communication of organizations. It also meets modern requirements and is expedient from the point of view of national security.
This system is similar in functionality to the foreign prototypes. But it also provides users with additional functions in accordance with the specific requirements of Azerbaijan, which is more convenient from the point of view of information security. It can be considered the optimal platform for online conferences in Azerbaijan.

International experience shows that distance education has great potential and will become one of the necessary educational tools for every university in the coming years.
