Multi-apartment buildings in Turkmenistan's Dashoguz getting equipped with telephone networks

Turkmenistan is working on providing new buildings with telephone service in the city of Dashoguz, Trend reports with reference to ”Turkmenistan: Zolotoy Vek” (Turkmenistan: Golden Age) newspaper.

Multi-apartment residential buildings will be connected to the existing city automatic telephone exchanges by the end of this year.

Distribution and fiber-optic cables will be laid to seven new buildings, in particular to 140 apartments, the report says.

The Dashoguz region of Turkmenistan has a well-developed telecommunications infrastructure. The Dasoguztelekom telecommunications company of the country is also working on digitalization of institutions and enterprises in the region.

Work is being carried out all around Turkmenistan to develop the telecommunications infrastructure and bring the telecommunication system to a new level that meets the international standards.

These tasks were provided for by the national transformation program, which expanded fixed and mobile networks in the Dashoguz region from 2015 through 2020, and laid over 1,000 kilometers of telephone lines.
