Azerbaijan applies Lithuanian company's hotel management system project

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec.4

By Sadraddin Aghjayev – Trend:

Lithuania's ASHBURN International, member of the Penki Kontinentai CJSC integrated TransLink.iQ solution with the OPERA management system at a large-chained Marriott hotel in Azerbaijan, the chief of the communications department of the company Alexander Zubryakov told Trend.

According to Zubryakov, in order to manage payment with a plastic card through a POS terminal from the hotel administrator's computer, ASHBURN specialists have expanded the capabilities of the xConnect module of the TransLink.iQ system to a set of functions used in the hotel business.

"The range of operations in the hotel business is much wider than the classic functions of trade organizations. It includes pre-authorization of a bank card when booking a room, increasing the limit for pre-authorization, confirmation of payment, refund, a transaction with manual entry of a card number, pre-authorization at one terminal, and completion on the other. The similar functionality may be used when registering a car rental," he said.

Zubryakov noted that by automatically entering the parameters of a payment transaction, the probability of errors that may occur during manual input is excluded, and payment processes are significantly accelerated. The transaction is instantly displayed in the system.

"The first project to integrate the TransLink.iQ system with the OPERA hotel management system has been implemented at the Marriott hotel in Azerbaijan," he noted.

TransLink.iQ software platform was developed within the EMV standard (EMV is a standard for plastic cards jointly developed through Europay, Mastercard and Visa payment systems) and complies with the PCI PA-DSS payment application security standard.
