The registration of gov.az third-level domains is carried out by the Special Communication and Information Security State Agency of the Azerbaijani Special State Protection Service.
From January through November 2020, 44 domains and 136 sub-domains have been registered in the Azerbaijani segment of the Internet, which are usually used by organizations to create unique site names for their divisions or services. For comparison, in 2019, 45 domains and 107 sub-domains were registered in Azerbaijan.
