Russian holding to participate in creation of ‘smart city’ in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent region

The Shvabe holding of the Rostec State Corporation (State Corporation for Assistance to Development will take part in the project of creating a ‘smart city’ in Nurafshon, the administrative center of the Tashkent region, Trend reports citing Rostec.

The trilateral agreement was signed during the international exhibition 'Innoprom: Big Industrial Week' in Uzbekistan 2021.

In the presence of Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Denis Manturov and Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov, the document was signed by the First Deputy General Director of Shvabe - Director for Production and Industrial Policy Vadim Kalyugin, representative of the UzEkolos company Artem Tonyan and the head of the Directorate on the construction of the administrative center of the Tashkent region at the administration of Nurafshon Sarvar Kadyrov.

Vadim Kalyugin said that under the terms of the agreement, the Shvabe holding will offer a number of products for the implementation of the project, including optics, medical and industrial equipment, as well as integrated solutions for the ‘smart city’: lighting, energy saving, security, water treatment and wastewater disposal systems.

Nurafshon Business City is the first project in Uzbekistan with elements of a ‘smart city’.

Sarvar Kadyrov emphasized, the technology of the collector communications system, planned for implementation by Russian partners, will become a new stage in the development of urban planning technologies in Uzbekistan.

Artem Tonyan noted that the project may involve Shvabe energy-saving lighting equipment, elements of an intelligent transport system, including smart traffic lights, photo and video recording systems, as well as water treatment and drainage systems, medical equipment and medical special vehicles manufactured by Rostec companies.
