The presence of online shops in Azerbaijan is of great importance for business, increasing the competitiveness among entrepreneurs, Acting Director of the Research Institute of Economic Reforms under the Ministry of Economy Arzu Huseynova told Trend.
"Among the factors provoked by the pandemic [COVID-19 pandemic] and influencing the development of e-commerce, the influx of new buyers, distant employment, and forced isolation should be noted," Huseynova said.
According to her, the search for the best solution and ways of satisfying the client gives rise to new trends.
"The accelerated growth of the e-commerce market will lead to the development and consolidation of new trends. One of such trends is the transition to D2C, that is, sales of products without intermediaries in the form of retailers, distributors, and dealers," the acting director noted.
Another new trend, according to Huseynova, is the spread of CDPs. Companies strive to collect more customer information, including about communication channels with the store, and such an opportunity is provided by CDP (customer data platform) platforms.
"The main goal of CDPs is to provide consolidated information that will help drive marketing strategy, segment audiences and create personalized offers for the clients," she added.
