Azerbaijani internet provider expanding its activities in districts

Azerbaijani Azeronline Internet provider is expanding its activities in districts of the country, the press service of the company told Trend on October 29.

According to Azeronline, depending on the geographic and relief features of a particular district and the capabilities of the infrastructure, the internet is provided via optical cable or wirelessly, which provide a stable and high-speed connection.

Currently GPON networks (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) are being created in villages, as well as in city centers of some of the following districts: Agstafa, Shamkir, Gadabay, Tovuz, Agsu, Guba, Kurdamir, Saatli, Zardab, Goygol, Masally, Hajigabul, Jalilabad, Sabirabad, Salyan, Imishli, Fuzuli, Aghdam, Agdash, Tartar, Neftchala, Goychay. In some districts, technical work has been completed and connections have already been established.

The company stressed that the wireless Internet service is provided in remote villages with relatively small and difficult terrain.
