ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, February 27. More than 300 online stores are currently registered in Turkmenistan, which sell food, consumer goods, clothing, building materials, furniture and other products, Trend reports.
According to the official source, the increase in the number of electronic trading platforms is due to an increase in demand for online services, an increase in Internet speed and regular reductions in tariffs for the services of operators Turkmentelecom (a national telecommunications company) and Altyn Asyr (a mobile network operator).
All this is facilitated by purposeful work within the framework of the implementation of the State Program on Development of Digital Economy of Turkmenistan for 2021-2025.
Most online stores are created by entrepreneurs who promptly respond to consumer requests across the country.
At the same time, state electronic trading platforms are also successfully functioning, for example, the marketplace shop.post.tm the Turkmenpost postal communication company.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of February this year, the founder of one of the largest Russian Wildberries online platforms, Tatyana Bakalchuk, said that the platform was considering entering the market of Turkmenistan.
