5 NEW ATSs PUT INTO EXPLOITATION IN NAR

Five new Automatic Telephone Stations (ATS) put into exploitation in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) since the beginning of 2005, Trend reports quoting the Minister for Communications and Information Technologies of the NAR, Rovhsan Mammadov.

According to Mammadov, in this period 1642 additional telephone numbers have been set up.

The Minister noted that transition of the NAR to 6-digit numbers from June 2005 enabled to allocate a separate number resource to the newly established Kangarli District. В"The application of 6-digit numbers in the NAR also enabled to commission 30,000 reserve telephone numbers,” Minister underlined.

Touching upon the communications services to subscribers Mammadov said that in the first half of 2005 community services comprised 997.4m manats more than 2005.
