Preparation and approval of the state program on development of the information and communication technologies in Azerbaijan (2005-2008) is expected till the year end, the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan Ali Abbasov told Trend on 3 October 2005, Trend reports.
For the moment the program developed has been considered by the government and is at the President’s Administrative office. В"The state program is expected to be ready by the year-end, the Minister noted.
The program is aimed at implementation of the economical and structural reform, modernization and extension of ICT, preparations and implementation of projects on transition to the information society.
The main goal of the State Program is the ICT development in Azerbaijan, as well as implementation of the National Strategy on ICT development in the country, planning and performance of projects according to the targets, set forth under the above-mentioned document.
