The IT Institute at the Azerbaijani Academy of Sciences completed creating a new system in the frames of the state program on IT technology development in Azerbaijan.
Works were carried out on the base of agreement signed with Teleradio in July 2005.
The major objective of the given agreement was creation of a system for modeling zones of satellite- feeder installations based on Geography Information System (GIS) technology at the TV-radio stations.
Program maintenance to model and visualize translation areas with the regard of digital landscape map of Azerbaijan based on SR-4 program application and used for constructing satellite- feeder devices and TV-radio receivers has been created according to the program.
It would be possible to define the best positioning for TV-Radio receivers soon after the above mentioned system will be installed. It will partially solve the problem of blocking unwanted frequencies from entering the Azerbaijani space. A working version of the system will soon be provided for testing. We are also planning to hold a project presentation after its completion. The event is planned for the end of May, ministry official said.
Agreement to implement this project has been reached in frames of the BakuTel 2004 exhibition, but its actual implementation started in 2005.
