Ultel eager to apply CDMA services

An Azerbaijani company Ultel, an operator of telephone network of Baku, intends to apply CDMA. Trend report citing the company that it will enable the subscribers connected to wireless scheme, to have an access to Intenet along with the voice communication, which cannot be organized in the existing wireless networks.

Till 2006 Ultel plans to put into exploitation one more digital station and by this way increase the total capacity of automated telephone exchange to 50,000, whereas total capacity to - 45,000 subscribers.

This year it is also planned to expand a specter of services of subscribers in Baku to. Along with access on the base of Dial-up, ADSL and Leased Line it is also expected to offer ADSL services, enabling to organize Video, IPTV and other large-stripe services through IP technologies.
