Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani Minister for Communications and Information Technologies, held meetings with the heads of some organizations as well as some International Telecommunication Union (ITU) member-states within the framework of the 17th Authorized Conference of the ITU, held in Turkey on November 6-24, 2006.
The Ministry informed Trend, that Mr. Abbasov met with a newly appointed Secretary General of ITU, Hamadoun TourГ©, as well as his Deputy and Director of the Bureau. They also had meetings with the Communications Ministers of Iran and South Korea.
During the meetings TourГ© voiced his plans to visit Azerbaijan to get familiar with measures carried out in the sphere of communications and information technologies.
