Organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan and Cisco Company, a seminar E-Government: problems and solution took place at the Ministry on December 20. The main goal of the seminar was to study the experience of Cisco in the sphere of the Electronic Government and application of this experience in Azerbaijan. Opening the seminar, the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies, Ali Abbasov spoke about the measures taken with regards to the E-government within the State Program for ICT Development in Azerbaijan in 2005-2008 years (E-Government), Trend reports quoting the same Ministry.
Abbasov said that presently the interest towards the non-oil sector of the country is growing and a number of large ICT companies have opened their representations in Azerbaijan. Later the Head of the National E-Governance Network Initiative program, Ilyas Nasibov Aylisli made a speech on the topic of Present situation with E-Government in Azerbaijan and Prospects. Representative of Cisco Asya Rudkovskaya made a speech on Experience on E-Government and methodology of realization strategy of E-Government in Azerbaijan. Debates were organized on the issue. The seminar was closed by the Minister himself.
