Azerfon Presents New Summer Bonus Company

Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / Azerfon joint venture, a new GSM mobile operator functioning in Azerbaijan, under the brand of Nar Mobile, annouced a summer bonus program, being held from June to September 2007.

Milosh Surla, the Commercial Director of Azerfon, stated on 20 June that in accordance with the program, all calls made to other mobile operators, fixed landlines, between Nar Mobile numbers, will be halved in cost.

Nar Mobile Subscribers will be refilling the balance, and depending on the volume of the refilling balance, they are getting additional free minutes as shown in the following table:

Once entered, all free minutes are valid for thirty days. While getting free minutes from the summer Bonus Program, subscribers continue benefiting from earlier discounts from Nar Mobile on holidays and weekends and also while calling 'favorite numbers' and at night time.

In addition, from 22 June 2007, such Bonus Program from Azerfon will also include a decrease on GPRS packages for as much as 50%, offering excellent speed, quality of communications, and affordable prices.

"This proposal is unique and will let Nar Mobile subscribers communicate more while halving mobile communications expenses," Surla noted.

At present, Аzerfon has a technical capacity to serve 500,000 subscribers. Numbers indicated already twice exceed the network's capacity from the beginning of its commercial start. By the end of 2007, this capacity will twice increase, translating into over 1mln subscribers.

In this period, the company plans to cover 80% of Azerbaijan's territory without roaming agreements finalized with Bakcell company

Azerfon was awarded a license by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for provision of mobile services throughout Azerbaijan. The company launched its commercial activities on 21 March 2007 using its Nar Mobile brand name.
