Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Babayeva / In January-June the income of the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry was AZN 87,894,800, while AZN 74,512,600 was forecast. The income decreased by 5% compared to the same period of 2006.
The population was provided with services in the sum of AZN 32,102,000 (more by 13.5% than in 2006), while AZN 29,900,000 was forecast.
The Ministry put a total of AZN 14,045,900 to develop the IT field in Azerbaijan in January-June, which is 6% more than in 2006. The funds were mainly used for the reconstruction of communication lines and the construction of inter-urban fibre-optic mains.
