In April 2019, the number of foreign tourists visiting Turkey increased by 24 percent compared to April 2018, Turkey's Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Ersoy said, Trend reports citing Turkish media.
The minister noted that during this period, the number of tourists from Germany increased by 48 percent compared to April 2018.
In April, there was also an increase among tourists from Russia and the UK.
Ersoy noted that in April 2019, the number of tourists from Russia increased by 34 percent, while the number of tourists from the UK increased by 31 percent compared to April 2018.
However, the minister did not disclose data on the total number of tourists who visited Turkey in April 2019.
